| 11:30AM to 1:00 PM | Keynote Address by Wendy H. Waszmer (Counsel to Assistant Attorney General Christine A. Varney) Wendy H. Waszmer serves as Counsel to Assistant Attorney General Christine A. Varney in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. In this role, she assists the Assistant Attorney General, the Chief-of-Staff, and the Deputy Assistant Attorneys General with matters relating to criminal and civil enforcement of federal antitrust laws. Ms. Waszmer joined the Antitrust Division in April 2009 from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York. As an Assistant United States Attorney, Ms. Waszmer handled all stages of affirmative and defensive civil litigation involving United States, its agencies, and federal officers. Earlier in her career, Ms. Waszmer worked in private practice as an associate in the Antitrust / Litigation Group at Hogan & Hartson, LLP, in Washington D.C. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard J. Leon, United States District Judge for the District of Columbia. |

Philanthropy
This year, WAPA members are being asked to participate in the
Pink Envelope Project, which grants wishes, including memory-making events, for men and women who are losing their battle with metastatic breast cancer.
